Innovative Packaging

TIMESTRIP
What is TIMESTRIP®?

Timestrips® are disposable smart –labels that are meant for only one-time use.
Functioning on the basis of capillary action, the smart-label can help to automatically monitor lapsed time, ranging from under 1 day to 6 months.
The tinted liquid that is within the Timestrip® will migrate through a micro-porous material at a consistent rate.
Timestrips® are easy and inexpensive to use, and are especially handy in monitoring perishable goods

Rationale Behind the Invention

Expiry date of a product is stated clearly on it. However, it does not tell consumer when they first opened the item.
Thus, these smart-labels have been invented to remind consumers when and how long have the product been opened for.

How To Use It

o When ready to activate the TIMESTRIP® smart label, simply peel off the backing paper

o Squeeze the bubble at the back of the TIMESTRIP®.

o Apply it to the packaging of your product such as on a jar of mayonnaise.

o The first window will let you know it has been activated

o TIMESTRIP® will begin showing you how long the food has been opened

This, i should say it is detail for consumer to know what is the advantage for this product.Excellent for the detail information because what consumer always concern when they purchase the food is when it expiried and this product would actually show to the consumer the lifespan of the product.

this will be great for consumer as they will be able to know how long has the product been on the shelf.. this will be also a good thing as sometime the best before date was somehow hard to read like granny who somehow cannot see thing too clearly
