Automotive and Electronics Packaging

Automotive

Automotive parts include axles, engines and side panels. Automotive parts, which are highly vulnerable to damage during transit and handling, need extra protection. Below are some examples of automotive logistical packaging. They include crates and individual compartment containers. As most automotive parts are made of metal, it is important to separate each item from another so as not to cause damage like scratches.

Electronics
Anti-static and conductive plastic corrugated and foams are ideal for the electronics and computer industries. Plastic packaging protects sensitive components during work in progress, order picking, storage and transport. Never use materials that will conduct electricity. This could damage your electronics during handling. After packaging, seal the box with packing tape and mark it "Fragile" and indicate which end is up. Below are some examples of electronics packaging.

Protective Packaging Tips

Using Bubble Wrap Cushioning

  1. Wrap the computer or peripheral on all sides with at least 4 inches of Bubble Wrap cushioning.
  2. Placed the wrapped item in a sturdy outer box.

  4. Apply at least three strips of pressure-sensitive adhesive plastic tape that it is at least 2 inches wide to both top and bottom of carton to protect the package and its contents.
Using Loosefill Peanuts
